The Penrhos Arms stands in the centre of the village of Cemaes near Machynlleth. Situated on the A470 (the main link between north and south Wales) it isn’t difficult to find a warm Welsh welcome awaiting you here. The Penrhos Arms Hotel offers five bedrooms which are available for short breaks and overnight stays; the flexibility of the rooms allow us to accommodate the businessman with single occupancy to a family wishing to share together. Our rooms are furnished to a high standard and complemented with en-suite facilities, welcome tray, TV and styled to capture the individual character of each room. |
The Penrhos Arms is ideally located for exploring the spectacular scenery provided by the mountains, valleys and lakes of mid Wales or spending a relaxing day on one of Cardigan Bay’s lovely beaches. There are several footpaths and mountain biking routes within easy reach and the Owain Glyndŵr Path, a mere two miles away. Machynlleth, the ancient capital of Wales, lies eight miles away. Here you can visit the old parliament house where Owain Glyndŵr held his parliament in 1404 or view the various art exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art. There are several cafes, teashops and unique shops to entertain you and on Wednesday you can experience the buzz of the street market. |
